  • Saleem Ashkar piano

The highly regarded Israeli pianist has won particular acclaim for his performances of Beethoven, notably in sonata cycles both live and on disc. He follows an early sonata by the composer with works from the Romantic period. ‘Ashkar’s is an art that disguises art’, wrote Gramophone, ‘and his performances are amongst the finest in the catalogue’.
