  • Henk Neven baritone
  • James Baillieu piano

Two exceptional artists of the younger generation travel through fourteen years of Schubert’s song-writing career, from his first setting of Schiller’s ‘Der Jüngling am Bache’ – one of the first songs Schubert ever wrote – to the delightful, strikingly inventive ‘Fischerweise’ of 1826.

Along the way Henk Neven and James Baillieu survey the mythical landscapes of Goethe’s ‘Ganymed’ and Mayrhofer’s ‘Fahrt zum Hades’.
