  • Schumann Quartet

Completed in January 1785, and the last of his series of six quartets dedicated to Joseph Haydn, Mozart’s well-known masterpiece opens with a strikingly dissonant gesture. The centrepiece of the programme is a work by the Swiss/Dutch composer based on Haydn’s ‘Bird’ Quartet which was premièred by the Schumanns at Eszterháza in 2018.
