Redefining our view of the brass ensemble by attaining standards that only this uniquely impressive squad of players can reach, the septet – currently in residence at the Royal Academy of Music – has created a new canon of transcriptions, arrangements and commissioned works that both reveal and extend the expressive possibilities of the medium; its narrated version of Tchaikovsky’s ballet score promises to be a very special seasonal treat.
