- Sergei Babayan piano
Renowned for his performances of the Romantic repertoire, Sergei Babayan is equally committed to the music of Bach. As the Hamburger Abendblatt commented in 2019 on his performance of the Goldberg Variations, Sergei Babayan ‘followed the motto “as beautiful as possible, as much as strictly necessary.” The Aria was already a paradigm of unintrusive elegance, and the subsequent variations kept their softly elastic pulse throughout.’
