Two members of the illustrious Kanneh-Mason family – cellist Sheku and his pianist sister Isata – join forces for Beethoven’s early but entertaining variations on one of Papageno’s songs from Mozart’s The Magic Flute (1796), Lutoslawski’s short but intense slow movement (1981), and Mendelssohn’s Bach-influenced Second Sonata of 1842-3.
