Members of the Kanneh-Mason family join with an admired pianist and a South African baritone for a selection of songs both traditional and composed from Njabulo Madlala’s homeland. On the programme too are works by important Europe-based composers of African descent: Joseph Bologne (1745-99) and Londoner Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875-1912), whose achievements are increasingly highly regarded.
