The Cosmos Quartet offers Brahms’s ebullient Third Quartet (1875) while the Trio Gaon – deriving its name from a Korean word meaning both ‘centre of the world’ and ‘generating warmth’ – performs his expansive First Piano Trio (1854) in its 1889 revision.
