Due to unforeseen circumstances, Marie-Elisabeth Hecker (cello) has had to withdraw from this concert. We are very grateful to Quirine Viersen (cello) for stepping in at short notice.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Tatjana Masurenko (viola) is unable to take part in the above concert. She will be replaced by Pauline Sachse (viola). The programme remains the same.
This concert will be approximately 2 hours in duration, including an interval

Four charismatic musicians join forces to perform two of the greatest piano quartets in the book. Schumann famously described young Brahms as ‘a chosen one’, the future of German music, a prophesy soon underlined by works such as his Second Piano Quartet.
