Major Funders
We are grateful to the Dorset Foundation for funding the First Prize in memory of Harry M Weinrebe and for their grant towards core Competition costs. We would also like to acknowledge the immense contribution given by the late Alan Bradley to underpin this and future Competitions. His enlightened legacy will secure our efforts to develop young artists, for which we are very grateful.

Help nurture young talent
Wigmore Hall believes strongly in supporting talented young artists at the start of their careers. The Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition provides a vital public platform from which young musicians can break into the world of professional performance at the highest level.
Winning the Wigmore Hall Competition was a dream for us; it is not just motivation to continue, but confirmation that our music is convincing to other people as well - the renowned jury members, for example! And Wigmore Hall itself is so inspiring with a committed audience inside and also online, it felt as if we were playing normal concerts, as opposed to competition rounds where you play to be judged. It was an extremely enriching experience and definitely a huge career boost for us.

How your gift can help
- One donation of £2,000 per year for 3 years would fully fund all travel and accommodation for the winner’s post-Competition tour
