Family Concert: Fresh Awakenings
Watch Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective and presenter Aga Serugo-Lugo in this interactive concert set in a mysterious motel and uncover the fascinating relationships between notes, melodies, and instruments.
Recommended Age: 5–11 / Key Stage 1 and 2
“I’d like to take you to a mysterious motel on top of a massive magical mountain. This motel contains 6 rooms, and in each room lies a moody musician. They feel isolated and yearn to meet other musicians…”
Join Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective and Aga Serugo-Lugo as they meet each moody musician and work to reunite them, rekindle their friendship and music making. Hear music composed by Bach, Bartok, Ravel, Price*, and Mendelssohn and create a body percussion soundscape along the way.
*Due to copyright reasons, ‘Florence Price, Piano Quintet in A minor – Juba’ is not available on the video. We recommend watching/listening to performances via another streaming service.
