Facilities for Families

Family Arts Standards

Wigmore Hall is proud to meet the Family Arts Standards, reflecting its commitment to offering family-friendly events and spaces. Look out for the Fantastic for Families logo, which highlights events that are ideal for the family.

Book tickets online or through the Box Office. Many of our events sell out, so please inform the Box Office if you can’t come for any reason – even at short notice.

  • For Crying Out Loud – all adults attending must purchase a ticket and accompanying babies are admitted without a ticket.
  • Chamber Tots/Toddler Bop – all children attending require a ticket and accompanying adults are admitted free of charge without a ticket.

Collect tickets at the Box Office when you arrive if you have not already received your tickets by post.

Pushchairs and scooters can be left in the foyer on the right hand side as you come in the main entrance or, if this space is full, in the Bechstein Room downstairs.

The Cloakroom will be open for busier events. For events in the Bechstein Room, there is plenty of space for coats and bags at the back of the room.

Programmes for family concerts are free of charge and will be available on the door.

Booster cushions – Please ask a member of staff if your child would like a booster cushion (we have a limited number so these are subject to availability).

Photos – At some of our workshops or events we may have an official photographer present. At concerts and large scale events we operate an 'opt-out' policy. For workshops each parent/carer will be asked to give written permission for photos of their child to be taken.  Images or video taken will only be used by Wigmore Hall for archive, fundraising or marketing purposes.

Toilets and baby changing facilities can be found downstairs. There are additional baby changing mats available in the Bechstien Room for For Crying Out Loud concerts.

Younger/older siblings – Most of our events are designed for a specific age group so where a minimum age or an age range is specified, we ask that you avoid bringing younger or older siblings wherever possible.

Food and drink – You are welcome to bring your own food and drink which you can eat in the Bechstein Room. Families are also welcome in our restaurant (more details and opening times can be found here). We ask you not to take food or drink into the Auditorium.
