Alison Balsom launches her Wigmore Hall Residency in companywith regular recital partner Tom Poster.
Their co-composition, TheThoughts of Dr May, takes its place alongside such fineoriginal works as Hindemith’s Trumpet Sonata and Enescu’sLégende and inventive arrangements of existing pieces,crowned by Balsom’s transcription for Brahms’s Trio Op. 40,originally conceived for horn, violin and piano.
