    Overview

    The Nash Ensemble’s renowned string players begin with Haydn’s Op. 76 No. 3Quartet, with its variations on the composer’s ‘Emperor’s Hymn’.

    Long-serving Nash pianist Ian Brown is soloist in Mozart’s K449, while Lucy Crowe sings thechild’s-eye view of heaven that closes Mahler’s Fourth Symphony, performedin the chamber arrangement made for Schoenberg’s Vienna-based Society forPrivate Musical Performances.
