    Now into its 39th season, TheEndellion String Quartet opensthis programme with a Haydnquartet bubbling with goodnatured warmth and vitality.

    Bartók’s final and very expressivequartet is in turns wild, lyrical,sardonic and ultimately deeplytragic, whilst Beethoven’s Op. 127is one of the most melodious anduplifting of all his works.
