    Overview

In 2015, French oboist Olivier Stankiewicz was appointed principal oboe of the London Symphony Orchestra. In the same year he won 1st Prize at the Young Concert Artists international auditions. Olivier is joined by the Castalian Quartet, a rapidly emerging voice on the international chamber music scene after winning 1st Prize at the 2015 Lyon International Competition and 3rd Prize at the 2016 Banff Competition.

‘Olivier Stankiewicz’s lovely mellow oboe tone could lull even the most insomniac Titania to restful repose.’Bachtrack

‘They seize motives with the core of their sound and press them into a service of thematic contiguity that is enviable, like an orator who knows how to convince with both passion and persuasion. The Castalian Quartet makes the simplest things we hear into the most important things we could ever want to hear.’Calgary Herald
