The Dorics, amongst Britain’sleading quartets, make a welcomereturn with a programmecombining the humour of oneof Haydn’s ‘Russian’ quartets– whose opening gesture onceearned it the nickname ‘How doyou do?’ – with the profundityof one of Beethoven’s latemasterpieces.
