Overview
One of a set of three trios datingfrom 1793-4 and dedicated to thewife of Haydn’s patron PrinceAnton Esterházy, the genial Amajor work precedes Brahms’srichly Romantic first piano trio,composed in 1854 but radicallyrevised in 1881.
