    Overview

    Founded in 2010, the KelemenQuartet has achieved considerableprominence among today’sensembles. Haydn composed hisoriginally orchestral Seven LastWords for liturgical performancein Cádiz in 1786, each of Jesus’moving statements beingrepresented by a slow movement;the following year the presentversion for string quartet waspublished as his Op. 51.
