The authoritative Beethoven interpretertraverses the first decade of his career as acomposer of piano sonatas, from his earliestcanonical work in the form (composed in1793-5 and published the following year) tothe expansive sonata written in 1803-4 anddedicated to Count Ferdinand von Waldstein.
