    Its name deriving from the oldFrench word for ‘being loved’, thefour female musicians who makeup the Esmé Quartet hail fromKorea and are currently basedin Germany. Their internationalrenown dates from their multi-prizewinning triumph at the2018 Wigmore Hall InternationalString Quartet Competition, whichincluded first prize.
