Chamayou will open his program with Liszt, Feierlicher Marsch zum heiligen Gral, from Parsifal S450, a transcription from Richard Wagner which, unlike Wagner’s Harmonies, has no positive conclusion.
Having garnered international recognition for his virtuoso technique, Bertrand Chamayou will show off his talent with the dramatic and technically demanding Sonetto del Petrarca No. 123 also by Franz Liszt. Paired with a lesser known composer, Wolfgang Rihm, Chamayou will perform the powerful and sometimes brutal, Klavierstück No. 5 ('Tombeau').
