Overview

Until the 15th century, music was predominantly an aural tradition. However, with the invention of the printing press this tradition began to disappear. Still, some melodies are innately memorable – why? Described by Classic FM as ‘challenging perceptions of the instrument’, Tabea Debus is constantly exploring the horizons of music for recorder and has performed widely in Europe, Asia and the USA.
