Overview
A starry group of performers come together to enact Stravinsky’stheatrical parable based on a folk tale about a soldier who sells hisfiddle to the devil and first staged in 1918; Isabelle Faust precedesthis with the virtuosic Bartók sonata, commissioned by YehudiMenuhin and premièred by him in New York in 1944.
