Overview

Tonight’s programme features tenor Allan Clayton in some of Britten’s realisations of music from the Baroque period and song cycles setting John Donne by both Britten (whose Holy Sonnets received their world première at Wigmore Hall) and the South African-British composer Ivy Priaulx Rainier, alongside a small selection of song performed by London-born mezzo-soprano Stephanie Wake-Edwards.
