Overview

John Gilhooly has devised a special event for St Patrick’s Day, in particular for those who have been isolated anywhere, and away from family and friends over the past year.

The concert celebrates the global Irish diaspora and the strong cultural and artistic bonds between Britain and Ireland. It will be introduced by HE Adrian O’Neill, Ambassador of Ireland, and presented by the much loved Sean Rafferty. Ailish Tynan, Robin Tritschler and James Baillieu join forces in a beautiful programme of Irish poetry, folksongs and translations. The event will be broadcast live on Wigmore Hall’s website and YouTube channel, on RTÉ Lyric FM Facebook and RTE.ie/culture. It will be broadcast on RTÉ Lyric FM The Full Score with Liz Nolan the following day at 1pm.
