Overview
The award-winning string quartet performs the last of Beethoven’s six quartets Op. 18. The set was written between 1798 and 1800 and was his most ambitious project yet. The quartet is joined before this by pianist Tom Poster for Elgar’s Piano Quintet, dedicated to the music critic Ernest Newman and premièred here at Wigmore Hall in 1919.
