TROUPE and Gawain Hewitt invite you to join us for this playful, welcoming and informal concert for all.
Conversations About Music frames live musical performance with explorations of how music fits into our lives, inviting audiences to reflect on what music means to them and how it enables us to connect.
The concert blends classical chamber works, new compositions, and verbatim performance featuring voice recordings from the performers, Wigmore Hall Learning participants, and members of the public. The concert’s centrepiece – the world premiere of a piece by Jessie Maryon Davies – features voice recordings set to music and manipulated live, and you the live audience will have a chance to take part too, transforming your smartphone devices into musical instruments during the performance.
We look forward to welcoming you to this special event, a timely opportunity to reflect on and engage with music’s unique capacity to connect us.
If we are not able to lead this concert with a live audience, it will be live streamed.
