Overview

James Newby, a current BBC New Generation Artist 2018-2021, an EHCO Rising Star for the 20-21 Season and an Ensemble member of Staatsoper Hannover (2019-2021), has a busy international schedule for such a young artist. He joins tonight with Wigmore Hall regular Simon Lepper for an interesting programme ranging from a selection of songs by 20th-century composer Carl Loewe, through a 2012 song setting text by former Poet Laureate Sir Andrew Motion, to works by 19th-century contemporaries Brahms and Schumann.
