Manchester-born Ronan O'Hora has performed throughout the world, and is a Professor at both Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Chethams School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music, where he attended as a student. Schubert’s C major sonata was written in 1825 but left unfinished and accidentally published in 1861 as his final work, hence its nickname. Beethoven’s Op. 13 remains one of his most celebrated compositions, dedicated to his friend Prince Karl von Lichnowsky, and named (with Beethoven’s approval) by his publisher for its tragic sonorities.
