Overview
One of the top ensembles of its kind today, the Jerusalem musicians are joined here by an Israeli-German clarinettist for one of the most beloved of all chamber works. Steadily entering the repertoire is Korngold’s Second Quartet: written in 1933, just before the composer left Vienna for Hollywood, it admirably represents a unique voice neglected for decades at its best.
