Overview

In this section of his Debussy series, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet highlights Liszt and Wagner’s impact on the French composer, and his influence in turn on the younger Hungarian. Bavouzet selects works from the beginning of Debussy’s career (the Danse Bohémienne of 1880) through to D’un cahier d’esquisses (1904).
