Overview

Following her debut as Melibea in Il viaggio a Reims at the 2005 Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, the mezzo rose quickly to become a familiar figure in opera houses and concert halls worldwide. Here she joins with a unique musical group led by a wide-ranging Italian musician for a programme with distinct focuses on Monteverdi, the Argentine instigator of nuevo tango, and traditional music from her native Sicily.
