Overview
The exceptional Romanian cellist and the Japanese pianist bring a programme of four substantial works. Andrei Ioniţă himself has arranged the 1906 work by Enescu, originally written for viola, while Russian cellist Daniil Shafran undertook the arrangement of Alfred Schnittke’s 1972 Suite, originally composed for violin with either piano or harpsichord.
This concert is part of the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust ticket scheme, offering free tickets to those aged 8-25
