Overview

Positioned between two works from the Classical era – including Mozart’s celebrated piece, one of a set dedicated to Haydn, whose opening movement utilizes the rhythms associated with hunting – is a work by a contemporary Swiss-Dutch composer and violinist parodying Haydn’s avian composition and premiered by the ensemble at Eszterháza in 2016.
