A characteristically intriguing programme from one of today’s most universally admired vocalists. The Swedish mezzo combines with the innovative American quartet to intersperse the movements of Schubert’s famous masterpiece with songs by the extraordinary singer-songwriter, as well as the Argentinian composer Osvaldo Golijov’s arrangements from the Viennese composer’s equally exceptional song cycle.
