Overview
Founded in Paris in 2003 by four former students of the Conservatoire, the group has gone on to enjoy success in a wide range of ancient and modern repertory both live and on disc. Here it selects three highly personal pieces: Smetana’s musical autobiography; Puccini’s 1890 memorial for Prince Amedeo di Savoia, the Duke d’Aosta, a former King of Spain; and a characteristic work by Schubert dating from 1816.
