Born in Monaco to Sri Lankan parents, the Paris-trained pianist enjoys an unusually broad repertoire: in addition to her album devoted to music beloved by Marcel Proust, other discs include well received Grieg and Beethoven: ‘her sense of individuality is refreshing’, wrote Gramophone of her complete Beethoven concertos.
