The winner of several important prizes, the young German-Romanian baritone is making a name for himself on the international scene. Born in a village in modern Ukraine, Eusebius Mandyczewski (1857-1929) became an important figure in Viennese musical life and a trusted friend of Johannes Brahms; his Romanian Songs were published in 1885.
