Overview
Rising steadily in prominence as an operatic artist as well as in recital and concert venues, the tenor from Hamburg has already won wide acclaim for his Lieder performances. ‘His tone is sweet and gently rounded’, wrote Gramophone of a Brahms disc, ‘his diction crystal-clear, his phrasing always thoughtful’. His individual programme connects the mélodie and Lieder traditions of the mid- to late-19th Century.
