    Overview

    ‘The refinement of Vox Luminis,’ wrote Gramophone, ‘is never anything less than sublime.’ The outstanding early music ensemble brings a major work of the early Baroque period in the shape of Portrayal of the Soul and the Body (1602), a sacred opera or oratorio by the Roman composer Emilio de’ Cavalieri (c.1550-1602).
