Overview
Founded in Berlin in 2006 and named after the opera by Haydn, the ensemble has enjoyed a period as BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists. Its complete Mozart sequence on disc has been enthusiastically received: ‘the Armida’s sparkling corporate intonation and textural litheness prove especially beguiling’, wrote BBC Music Magazine. ‘Most exquisite of all is the Armida’s microfine shading.’
