Overview
Once again presenting contemporary works by the two composers, the Danel offers Weinberg’s Second (1939-40, revised 1986) and Third (1944) quartets alongside Shostakovich’s Third (1946): Weinberg’s Third received its first performance by the Danel musicians during their residency in Manchester.
