Overview

Works for piano by Nigerian Joshua Uzoigwe (1946-2005); Ghanaians Fred Onovwerosuke (born 1960) and Robert Mawuena Kwami (1954-2004); the Black British Coleridge-Taylor; Jamaican Oswald Russell (1933-2012); and African Americans Hale Smith (1925-2009) and Margaret Bonds (1913-72). The Seattle-based, Ghanaian-American pianist has spent his career championing the works of composers from across the African continent and beyond.
