Overview
30 years older than her better-known colleague Korngold, Johanna Müller-Hermann (1868-1941) was highly regarded in her day. Since her death her music had been widely neglected until once again taken up in recent years. Her string quartet dates from 1912 and was dedicated to Alexander Zemlinsky – one of her teachers.
