Overview

Traces of jazz filtered into Schulhoff’s 5 Pieces, while Martinů’s impassioned Fifth String Quartet arose after he fell in love with one of his students. Boris Giltburg joins the Pavel Haas players in Brahms’s Third Piano Quartet on its journey into despair and tragedy.
