Programme

Overview

The Sitkovetsky Trio’s recent recording of Beethoven’s ‘Ghost’ was praised by Gramophone for ‘bursting out of the traps before giving way to passages of melting lyricism’. The Trio opens this lunchtime programme with the 'Ghost', then turns to Fauré’s high-octane First Piano Quartet, given in company with Eivind Ringstad, acclaimed soloist and principal viola of the London Symphony Orchestra.
