Overview

Belle Époque Paris, hotbed of creativity, became a city of cello sonatas. Gary Hoffman and David Selig offer a striking snapshot of the repertoire, with surprisingly muscular Saint-Saëns, the delightful Op. 67 sonata by Mélanie ‘Mel’ Bonis and Albéric Magnard’s timeless Sonata in A.
