The Jerusalem Quartet resumes its unmissable survey of Shostakovich’s string quartets. It explores the composer’s deeply personal reflections on life, embracing the otherworldly sounds of the short Seventh Quartet, the searing despair of the Eighth and sweeping vitality of the Ninth.
