Overview
Exquisite miniatures by Robert Schumann, Adès, Kurtág and Rachmaninov stand as islands of repose and reflection in Kirill Gerstein’s programme. The Russian-American pianist surrounds them with dazzling dances and Francisco Coll’s Waltzes Toward Civilization, written for and premièred by Gerstein at the end of 2024.
